Note: Access to
most of the Pony Express Stations, Stage Stops and Ghost Towns is
seasonal and limited due to their non-maintained access roads and remote
locations. Although these sites played a vital part in the history of
Nevada, in most cases, little actually remains intact. In some instances
crumbling foundations are all that is left due to vandalism, recycling of
building materials and the elements. Many sites are located on private
property and these ownership rights must be respected by visitors. |
